# Waves Based on Drone Images

San Francisco based artist, **Gwen Pryor (b.1989**) is passionate about oceanic preservation and hopes her art will inspire viewers to protect the environment. She studied art at Skidmore College and at Greenwich Academy.

_Artist Statement_

“I use drones to capture compositions for my oil paintings. My body of work reflects my passion for to raise awareness for oceanic preservation. I was recently accepted to be an artist for Exxpedition, a pioneering ocean sailing expedition to circumnavigate the globe with the aim of raising awareness of the devastating environmental and health impacts of single-use plastics and toxics in the world’s ocean. My vision for this project is to cover it in paintings of the ocean. I want the for viewers to be inspired to protect the ocean and our shared environment.”
